September Favourites ♡

Monday, 29 September 2014

Summer has officially ended! You may think I would've said this a month ago, however our British summer has a way of playing tricks on us and often saves its last couple of rays for days in September that you’re least expecting. We all have to admit tho.. I’m a little excited for Autumn. My duster coats, boots and vampy lipsticks are all crawling out of the woodwork screaming to be taken out again but I’m not sure if its quite acceptable yet! Anyway, best get on to my favourites this September.

Now, the brand Rodial has always terrified me. But my first favourite is their Brazilian Tan in Dark. I always walked past it on the shelves of Space NK and got the impression it was one of those products which was too good for the likes of my student budget, so always embarrassedly hurried past it. That was until I came across it in TK Maxx (classy I know!), at £12.99 it stands slightly higher than drugstore fake tans but are nothing in comparison to its high end equals, and oh my god does it do a good job. It has an odd gel like consistency and is tinted so that you have guidelines as to where you have already applied it as to guarantee an even application. At first it leaves a subtle glow but develops over the hours into a lovely golden tan. Like most fake tans it is at its best after one wash, but I honestly cannot rave about this product enough. If you see it in stores I urge you to try it! *UPDATE* Its just gone into the sale online, get it before they disappear!

Before I start... I know I'm late on the band wagon with this one. But the Garnier Micellar Water, oh my god, where has this been all my life?! I have used makeup wipes up until about a year ago as my lovely Eve Lom cleanser opened my eyes to other makeup removal techniques. As thats on the much pricer side, and due to the fact I'm a newly very poor student, I've been shopping round for a cheaper version. At £3.33 you honestly cannot go wrong with this. It claims to last for 200 uses, working out to be less than 1p per use, may I say no more? It leaves no oily residue unlike many other conventional makeup removers, it also gets every scrap of even the most stubborn makeup off. I have sensitive skin and this is the most forgiving product. Next time your in Boots please just buy it.. You'll thank me later.

My final beauty favourite is something I personally got very excited about. I am a self confessed skincare product junkie and I have found my holy grail moisturiser. I always told myself that as I have oily/combination skin, that moisturising was not a must.. Boy was I wrong! In the hunt for a new primer I stumbled across this beauty, Nivea's Express Hydration Primer. It acts as a primer and moisturiser, I am not a massive fan of either of these products usually so this has made my life much easier. It makes my makeup glide on and leaves my foundation with a much more flawless finish. At only £4.99 Boots has done it again and I am definitely going to be repurchasing as soon as I hit pan!!

Now for my finally little favourite. My new baby. Its no longer online, so I cannot share it with you sadly. All I want to tell you is that I'm in love. You will be seeing this featured very soon!

Share you favourites with me and fuel my next trip to Boots!!

All my love,

Abbie x
