February has been an interesting month for me makeup wise. Some days I've piled it on, yet others I've tried to go without as I'm trying to get my skin in top condition before I go away in April. However as always I do have some makeup favourites as well as skin care, hair and teeth faves! I've also popped in a few other things I've been loving at the end of the post, as there has been a few!
1. NYX Blush in Taupe (£6.29) - My first NYX product, I know, such a rookie! However in the UK it is not easily available, like it is elsewhere. I did manage to get mine on the wonder that is Amazon, with free shipping. I use this as my contour shade and it works a dream, making my face looked chiseled yet not orange which can be a problem. This definitely works best on top of a good flawless base and can be blended to make it look seamless. If you can get your hands on this, it is a definite steal. One thing, NYX if you are reading this... Please change your packaging, it is quite hideous!
2. Dove Damage Repair Shampoo & Conditioner (£2.69 each) - I'm trying my very best to grow my short (sigh!) hair this month, however it is not proving to be easy. Dove's Damage Repair Shampoo & Conditioner (along with another one of my favourites) are helping the process however, and leave my hair feeling nourished and smooth after the shower, which due to my hair being very coarse and frizzy is quite an achievement. These are often on offer in Boots and smell amazing once your hair has dried. Pick them up!
3. L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation (£10.99) - Just a quick warning, if you like full coverage foundations this is not the one for you. However if you are looking for something less heavy duty which leaves your skin looking radiant and healthy I'd definitely give this a try. I've been using this all month to try and move away for my winter routine and make it more spring friendly!
4. John Frieda Frizz Ease Leave-in Conditioner (£5.99) - Following on from my shampoo and conditioner, I have also been using this beauty to help keep my hair moisturised. I spray it in whilst my hair is wet and then style it as normal. Seems to be working brilliantly and am definitely going to take it with my when I am on holiday as I think it will be ideal to spray on whilst on the beach to keep my hair looking nice and not a frizzy mess!
5. Colgate Max One Toothpaste (£3.99) - After a scary trip to the dentist last week I'm now the number one fan of anything that can benefit my dental hygiene. I'm lucky in the fact I have naturally white teeth however over the past few weeks this has really make them sparkle.
6. Collection Concealer (£4.19) - Unfortunately, I do have a fair amount of acne scarring on my cheeks, however this has been a life saver. I don't need a full coverage all over my face therefore this is ideal to cover my problem areas and then I can go in and use my lower coverage foundation over the rest of my face. This concealer lasts all day and has great pigmentation. I know it is always raved about, but it is one of the best products I've used and will be a favourite for months to come.
7. Eve Lom Cleanser (£55.00!!) - Eeek I know, the price scares me too. However this must show how much I am in love with this product to make it a favourite regardless. Never have I ever used a skincare product which has given me such amazing results, so quickly. I have been using this cleanser since Christmas and have noticed the biggest difference. It is a makeup remover, cleanser and toner in one, so will save you buying three separate products.. Some justification for the cost. Its expensive I know, but I honestly couldn't recommend it more.
1. Mini Hair Doughnut (£1.99) - Some of you may be thinking, what is this. A weird looking sugary snack? However most of you will know that it is actually a 'bun maker' for lack of a better description. I always get sucked in my the cheap things by the till at H&M, and at the start of the month I picked up this and a pack of hair grips and I am so glad I did. It's so easy to put in and makes you look very put together even on your laziest of mornings. Would recommend looking up tutorials to give you a hand to start with, but I'd definitely be lost without mine now!
2. Jo Malone Candle in Blackberry & Bay (£39.99) - I must admit although I did buy this, it is sadly not mine.. I bought my Mum this lovely candle for Christmas and we have had it lit in the house (on special occasions) ever since. It is so fresh and smells wondering, yet it is not overpowering. They burn wonderfully and definitely would love to try more Jo Malone candles in the future.
3. Nike Free Runs 3.0 (£79.99) - These have been in my life since October and I am forever grateful for having them bought for me as I quite frankly haven't taken them off. And no, I don't run. As bad as I sounds I use them for everyday walking around and working at the shop (sorry Nike!) however they are so comfortable they have now made all of my other shoes feel like clogs. After recently discovering I can pop these in the washing machine, they are have been my favourite shoes all through the month of February and will continue to be!
4. Whistles Medium Shiny Croc Clutch (£60.00) - As mentioned in my most recent Instagram post, Alex surprised me with this beauty on Valentines Day. I've been lusting over it for months but I couldn't quite justify buying it myself. It is perfect for nights out and fits everything I need as I do like to take a fair bit with me. I love wearing it with a simple black outfit and gold jewellery as it add something and looks really classy as this watches the detailing on the bag.
5. Naked Juices (£2.36) - You may think I'm mad as for just 450ml these juices are rather pricey however they are delicious. I've recently cut out fizzy drinks from my diet so have been looking for tasty alternatives which will benefit rather than damage my body. They are packed with fruits and vegetables and leave me feeling quite full after drinking them. In an ideal world I would make myself some juices but must admit I don't feel like I have the time (sigh!).
Hope you enjoyed reading my favourites! I'd love to hear yours!! ♡
